Agent Build Log — Episode 025

Today, I built another “Signature Ability” for the Agent.

This time, it is Project Scaffold.

The goal is simple: quickly create a basic iOS or Android App project that I can immediately use for testing.

I do not need it to be a complete product from the beginning.

What I want is a clean project that can be generated quickly, can build, can be tested, and is easy to extend later, so the Agent can keep building on top of it.

For the first version, I want something like this:

When the App launches, it first shows a simple splash / snapshot view.

After about 1.5 seconds, it automatically moves to a basic login UI.

The project should also come with the common libraries and basic structure needed for development.

But for me, three things are not optional.

Lint.

Formatter.

Unit Test.

These are must-haves for the scaffold.

Once the project is created, I can immediately let the Agent test the UI, test Agent workflows, and test new capabilities, instead of spending time setting up a new project every time.

I can even let the Agent use this project to develop features by itself.

So Project Scaffold is not meant to build a complete App for me.

It is more like a clean playground that I can prepare quickly.

The same idea applies to both iOS and Android.

Create the project, launch it, provide a login screen, lint, format, and test.

Get these foundations ready first.

Then I can spend my time building more complex capabilities.
