Today, I continued working on getting the Chat-to-Agent flow fully connected.

Agent Build Log Episode 032: connecting Chat to the Agent

At first, I thought it would be pretty straightforward: connect the Chat Plug-In I designed yesterday, send inbound messages to the Agent, then send the result back after processing.

But once I started wiring everything together, I realized it was not that simple.

First came all kinds of inbound errors.

Sometimes the webhook received the message, but the format did not make it into the Chat Plug-In correctly.

Other times, the message came in, but something went wrong when identifying the space, message, or thread, so the Agent never received the actual content it was supposed to handle.

After I finally got inbound working, outbound started failing instead.

The Agent successfully received the message and completed the task, but the final response could not be sent back to Chat.

Anyway, the Agent can now do what OpenClaw and other agents can do: receive instructions directly from a chat interface.
