Effective date: October 10, 2026 · Applies to Lian Bu for macOS (com.marvinswift.lianbu)

Lian Bu is a Mac app by Marvin Lin, an individual developer based in Taiwan. This policy describes the Mac App Store edition of Lian Bu, including its Roundtable feature.

What Lian Bu stores on your Mac

Lian Bu saves your Roundtable topics, instructions, participant and model selections, discussion replies, summaries, and meeting history in the app’s local data directory on your Mac. Provider sign-in information and app settings are also stored locally. Lian Bu does not upload this history or these credentials to a server operated by Marvin Lin.

You can rename, pin, or remove a meeting from Roundtable history. Removing a meeting deletes its local record from Lian Bu. To remove the app’s other locally stored data, quit Lian Bu and remove its app data from your Mac. Uninstalling the app may not remove that data. Local backups may also contain copies.

What is sent to AI providers

When you start or continue a Roundtable, Lian Bu sends each selected AI provider the information needed for that participant’s turn. This can include the topic, your goal and directions, and recent replies from the discussion. A moderator may receive discussion replies when you ask it to summarize. Each provider receives only the context used for its turn; Roundtable does not load your project files, extensions, or general conversation history.

Providers process these requests under the account, subscription, or API credentials you connect and their own privacy terms, retention settings, and service rules. The provider may retain or use request data as described in its terms. Review those terms before sending information you consider sensitive. Provider charges, if any, are governed by your provider account.

Lian Bu can open a provider’s sign-in flow when you choose to connect an account. The provider handles that authentication. Lian Bu does not receive your provider password. You can disconnect a provider in Settings → Providers; use the provider’s own account settings to revoke access or request deletion of information it holds.

Information we collect

Lian Bu does not require you to create an account with Marvin Lin. The app does not send Roundtable history, provider credentials, analytics, or crash reports to Marvin Lin. It does not include advertising or cross-app tracking.

This website is separate from the Mac app. When you visit this policy or support page, the website host processes the request to deliver the page, and this website uses Google Analytics to measure site traffic. Those services may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser, and page viewed under their own policies. This does not give the website access to data stored in Lian Bu.

Retention and deletion

Your Roundtable records and provider sign-in information remain in Lian Bu’s local app data until you remove them. You control that local data. Marvin Lin does not hold a server-side copy to retrieve or delete.

AI providers may retain prompts and replies under their own policies. Contact the relevant provider to ask about its retention or to request deletion. Removing a meeting from Lian Bu does not delete information already sent to a provider.

If you email support, Marvin Lin receives your email address and anything you include in the message. That information is used to respond to your request and is kept in the email service until it is no longer needed for support or recordkeeping.

Changes to this policy

If Lian Bu’s data practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date will change. The latest version is available at this URL.
